Students at St. Andrew’s College Ssanda will soon take part in an agriculture study tour designed to strengthen their understanding of modern farming practices. The tour will involve learners from Senior Two, Senior Three, and Senior Four, and will take place during the first term.

Agriculture remains an important subject in Uganda, and the school believes that learning should not be limited to the classroom. During the visit, students will have the opportunity to observe farming techniques, crop management practices, and livestock care.

Teachers accompanying the students will guide discussions and encourage learners to ask questions so that they can gain practical knowledge that complements what they study in class.

The study tour is also expected to inspire students to appreciate agriculture not only as a subject but also as a possible career path. Many successful agricultural projects in Uganda are driven by young people who have developed interest and skills at an early stage.

Activities like these help make learning more engaging and meaningful for students.
